My favorite quote is definitely ‘This too shall pass’ – I have it tattooed on my forearm! What I love about it is how it works in two important ways for me.

Firstly, when things are tough or stressful – maybe I’m facing a setback or just having an off day – it’s a really grounding reminder that no difficult situation lasts forever. It helps me keep things in perspective and push through, knowing there’s an end point. Read More>>

Inner Seasons Wellness is the new identity for my ongoing work in women’s health and menstrual awareness., stemming from 6 years as an apothecary owner and witnessing the deep interest women have to regain the power over their hormones and reproductive systems. I have dreamt of engaging with women about our seasonal lives for many years and as I listened to the voices of women in my community, those coming into my shop asking for help, I knew this dream was living and breathing and needed to be tended to! Success to me is not about how many clients I serve, or how well known I am as a business or photographer, but rather, to me it’s about my business thriving in a way that allows me to serve my clients from a place of joy and excitement rather than burnout or overwhelm, and have the flexibility with my business to also spend time with my family and stay at home with my kids. I also want to prioritize my creativity not only as an entrepreneur, but also as an artist and photographer. It’s really important to me that I never lose my wonder in the world and my artistic spirit. Read More>>

For me, success is a journey, not just an end goal. Success is the steps taken to achieve the desired result. Growth is what comes from the steps taken, even if it is a step backwards I find it to be a learning experience. Read More>>

This is a question that almost anyone who has worked in or even just followed politics has asked themselves. I have wrestled deeply with it as well. However, when it comes to politics, I don’t think there is really any scenario where you can give up. The reason that I got involved with the Democratic party was to help make the people’s lives better: in El Paso County, in Colorado, and in the United States generally. and so I don’t think there is any scenario in which I would abandon that struggle. We can never give up the fight to make our world a better place. Read More>>

My number one habit is meditation. I do 30 minutes every morning. This has been my source for dropping into a great flow state for the day, being grateful, setting intentions, asking questions, and receiving information (channeling with higher self/spirit). I can remain more focused, present, and calm when overwhelmed or challenges and anxiety may arise.

Creating a balanced daily work flow, which includes having a daily schedule and within that schedule making time for breaks, movement, nourishment, and at least 15 minutes to rest, be still, and be silent. (a baby disco nap if you will) Read More>>

Discipline. I feel that discipline is the hidden superpower to any type of success. While motivation is great, it doesn’t stay on all the time and in those moments, you need to lean on discipline to keep you going. By staying disciplined in going out to cover events, edit photos and videos, and more even when I wasn’t motivated to do so, I’ve been able to push my personal brand! Read More>>
