A big part of making decisions is determining what our actions and choices have been inspired by. So we asked decision makers from the community to tell us about what they are inspired by.

Chase Brown | Designer and Painter

I’m most inspired by intention. I love small details that in the grand scheme of things don’t mean much. I love movement and organic details that become intentional details. I feel inspired by repetition and muscle memory in things like design and lettering that require a solid understanding of form and function. Read more>>

My inspirations about life come from Jesus, I remember reading the Bible a few times until I was able to grasp its content on a different level. The way each step He took was so fulfilled with faith and wisdom. I realized as humans we all need guidance from faith no matter where we go in our daily life. It has definitely helped me achieve so many things and more than what I could have asked for. Read more>>

I am inspired by many things! In no particular order, I’ll start with music. I can’t imagine life without it. It has always been there, and continues to be an inspiring and uniting force in many parts of my life and relationships. Life is not life without music or artistic creativity. Next would be all my relationships with loved ones. Family gatherings, time with girlfriends, travelling with my Husband, or being at home with our fur babies just fills me up and keeps me going. Professionally, I love studying people and helping them make connections about what lights them up and makes them “tick.” To be even more specific, I am really inspired and amazed with the study of archetypal human consciousness through such avenues as psychology, astrology, spirituality, and hypnosis. Urszula Bunting | Yoga Teacher, Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Legal and Medical Interpreter

I am fortunate to surround myself with people who inspire me every day in my personal and professional life. My yoga, health, and wellness business is based on my passion and true desires, which helps me connect with like-minded, positive, and inspiring personalities. As a yoga teacher and health and wellness coach, I often meet people who face health and life challenges. I feel inspired by their resilience, determination, and passion for life. I love people who choose to be in charge of their health and wellbeing. They motivate me to do the same and find ways to support them through my business and how I live my life. I want to do what I preach and show that anything is possible, and the challenges we face in our lives have meaning. I find this idea very helpful during the Covid-19 pandemic. Read more>>

Inspiration is an amazing force that connects the mind, heart, and soul. It is that spark of aliveness and wonder that can motivate action and create meaningful awareness. For me, inspiration is all around in every detail. I find that the big things are less inspiring to me because they are often filled with hype and grandeur, while the real gems are in the little things that are easy to miss if I’m not looking for them. A few weeks ago the frost of early Autumn came through Denver, and I took space in the quiet morning after the storm to walk in nature. My intention was not to exercise, connect socially with my neighbors, or to give my mind space to think. My intention was to simply notice. The ice crystals that formed around the grasses, thistles, and branches amazed me. Read more>>

Joshua Bowman | Creative & Fine Artist

Originally as a young boy I was very interested in graffiti. My stepfather whom raised me is from New Jersey right out side of Manhattan. Visiting sometimes multiple times a year, I fell in love with NYC and the art I would see while i ride the train and explored the city. The vibrant colors of the street art, complimented by the rustic cold city space, I never wanted to leave. Still to this day I am very drawn to bright colors, showing up in my work time and time again. The daily challenge to learn something new, implement a new technique, or simply grow as an artist is a constant source of inspiration as well. Read more>>

Walks. I enjoy going on very long walks around Boulder, or wherever I am residing at. When I go on these walks I am not looking for any specific inspiration but I always carry a small journal or film camera. I gravitate towards things that call me and that can be a pattern on the sidewalk or a leaf that has fallen from the tree onto a puddle of water. Sometimes when an unexpected scene finds me and it does something, it creates a feeling that is captivating, pleasurable, and it evokes a word, sentence, or angle to capture a photo. And the things that call me are different each time and it all depends on the time of the day, my mood, whether it’s cold or hot, destination or no destination, and how long the walk is. Sometimes and this is most times I go on a walk aimlessly without any thoughts or persistence to find anything. Read more>>
