What are you inspired by?

I am truly inspired by people who know who they are, know their Purpose, and continually put in the work to pursue it wholeheartedly. You can feel it – the energy and authenticity of a person who is in tune with themselves and done the deep dive of personal and spiritual growth and development. The biggest inspiration is my love of Halloween and all of the spooky, creepy, darkness that comes with it. Halloween was and still is a big deal in my family. It’s always fun, and sparked my love of horror, and everything creepy. Sometimes it’s silly, sometimes it’s dark. It sounds cliche, but Halloween isn’t a holiday, it’s a lifestyle lol!!! I’m inspired by authenticity. Whether that be the bride who wants to wear a red dress, serve tacos and ditch all the conventional aspects of a wedding, or the couple who genuinely loves the reverence of tradition, I want to be there to help them in what feels true to them. Every wedding is always unique and special to each couple. One of my favorite examples was a bride from last year who had the dream as a 10 old to get married in the field behind her parents house and to pick her own flowers from the same field. Read more>>
Life and nature, but more recently thoughts and feelings. Bringing imagery and color to a feeling or a thought. I am inspired by music, simply just hearing lyrics or a sound, and then an image is created in my mind, sometimes undoubtedly. I see the world through a lens that wants to challenge and change the reality around me, make an idea come to life, because without my art, it could not exist. Read more>>
I have to be honest, there was not much initial thought process when I first started metalsmithing and created Cosmic Heart Arts (my business name) . I really had no idea it was going to turn into what it is now, or even turn into a “business”. In the beginning, I was focusing on just learning the basics and honing in my skill (shoot, I’m still doing that!). As I began selling, I just went with the flow and have slowly been building it over time. I am more of a creative than a business person, so sometimes it feel like reinventing the wheel when it comes to the business side of things. Read more>>
