We had the good fortune of connecting with Aurica Halter and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aurica, how do you think about risk?
For me, risk taking is part of our everyday life. Sometimes all you have to do is to look at the positive outcome of your risk and just Go For It. I never was the person who will do anything drastic. I was more in my own safe bubble and do things that does not involve too much risk or lost!

My biggest risk I took was In 2009, when I decided to come to USA over the summer all by myself (I came with a program for students called “work and Travel”) I could not speak English very well, and I had a hard time understanding people talking! I had no idea how to navigate in an Airport, but somehow I made it to my destination!
I start working as a housekeeper at a motel in NewCastle, Wy. There were a few more students, from Jamaica and China! I made so many friends that summer, and I had the most fun I have ever had in my life:) It was hard to return back to my Country in the fall, But I came back in the spring 2010. That’s when I met my husband. Now, years later, still married with 3 kids.

Another risk was When I Decide to transform my passion for Photography into a Business, in 2019. I know it will be challenging for a person who is more introverted and shy, not knowing many people, But It is so rewarding when I learn something New and I get to Create new Memories for my clients.

I feel like The Best Thing In your Life starts, when you take the biggest and scary risk!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Photography was never on my radar or saying that it always was my passion. After having my kids ,I got lost in Motherhood! I actually was thinking of opening my own daycare, because, since I can remember, I’ve always loved kids.

Growing up, we never had the luxury of having photos:( . I don’t have any photos of myself when I was a baby. My kids love looking through my husband’s family album with photos of every stage of his life! They enjoy to hear my mother in law explaining the pictures. It’s so much harder for me to explain, since I grew up so different than most kids here in USA.

When my husband got my first Camera for Christmas, I was so excited to be able to create something I did not have: Memories with Pictures!

It is challenging to own a business and being a Mom, especially last year. But every Day is an experience and I am grateful for the lessons learned at the end of the day! I am so excited to Grow and Being able to offer better experience for my clients!

I am that person that loves everyone and and I love seeing People Happy and I hope I can bring Joy with my Photos and Share a reminder that every memory counts!

My goal is, to not offer only a smiley cute photo, but a photo that brings out emotions, a photo you can feel and hear. I want to freeze your moment, the loud laughter, the loving hug, the curious child, the messy hair.

I understand How important these memories are, because one Day, it will be a Great reminder of who we were and what we left behind!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
So if you come visit me, I WILL show you the Mountains! We would go Hiking a day in RMNP,
Travel to Sand Dunes,

Mt Evans
Definitely go tent Camping In the mountains!

For dinner, We would go to my favorite Mexican Place “los Dos Potrillos”
