We had the good fortune of connecting with Carly Sellaro and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Carly, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Authenticity! I cannot stress it enough, the best thing about your business is YOU! Everyone is unique, putting your personality in your business not only makes work fun, but it also creates connections with clients and helps you attract people to your business. I show up on my social media platforms, and in-person all the same.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I always call myself a jack of all trades, a master of none. I have so many passions. People would often tell me that I needed to pick one and excel at it to succeed. Boy, am I glad I completely ignored them. Real estate has allowed me to use all my skills. For example, I have been a photographer for nine years, I even moved to LA to pursue my dream, but life had other plans. I never gave up on that dream just because I didn’t become the famous photographer I wanted to be in LA. Instead, I have now implemented Real Estate Photography into my photography business, which has allowed me to build relationships with investors, interior designers, and so many future buyers and sellers. Creating videos and graphics are other passions I’ve implemented in my business my Instagram is full of content I started that educates homebuyers and sellers. Run your business the way that makes you happy. At the end of the day, if you run your business the same way another person does, you might not get the same results, and you won’t always be happy using another person’s approach.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I was born and raised in Denver. I moved to LA and NJ and ended up coming back because Denver has so much to do! If my best friend was in town and I had the chance to take them to some of the best places here, I would defiantly show them Nurture in the highlands. It is so welcoming with the best atmosphere with all the wellness goodies you could ask for. Lohi has some great places to eat, like My Neighbor Felix and Happy Camper. A Red Rocks show would be a must. There is no other concert venue like it. I have some hiking spots I would have to show them as well, but those places shall remain nameless #keepcoloradowild
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
So many people have helped me along the way and still help me today. The brokerage that I am a part of is just a year old, the owners Cristina & Jeremy, have been genuinely great at pushing me to achieve my many goals. They have unique coaching style that is tailored to my personality and goals. Their passion for the real estate industry and the effort and work they put into their business is remarkable,
