Meet Hava Rose | Workshop & Retreat Facilitator, Chiropractor and Published Author

We had the good fortune of connecting with Hava Rose and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Hava, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
“In the end, only three things matter; how much you loved, how gently you lived and how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you.” -Buddha
This quote came to me at a really big transitional time in my life, and it was something I said out loud daily that helped carry me through it all. The ending of a toxic relationship, moving back home with my parents as an adult, leaving a job, etc. It was a lot and I was really learning that to move forward sometimes you need to let go. This quote in a sense, was a life saver in that year…so much so that I eventually tattooed an abbreviated version on my left wrist. And now it is something I see regularly and am reminded of.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
So my schooling led me to become a chiropractor first. After several years of working under different doctors and in varied office styles and settings, I decided it was time to take my life and days into my own hands by opening up my schedule more to allow other passions and businesses to be explored, while I transitioned into a mobile style practice. And to keep it more brief, after practicing for years, I truly began to realize how much of peoples’ physical pain is simply the manifestation of unresolved emotional and mental stress and traumas. I really wanted to help people find a way to process those experiences to help ensure a higher quality of well being and life. So I began my journaling workshops in hopes to create these spaces to process for the betterment of everyone. In everything I do, I have found that my purpose in it all is creating safe spaces to process whether physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Oh my goodness! Philly is such a dope city to explore. Born and raised here, I may be biased but there are certainly some really great places to experience. I don’t know if I can give you any specific order or line up but there are certainly some amazing places to visit. As for food, its endless…but specifically I love to always recommend Suraya in Fishtown, Angelo’s (get the Upside Down Jawn pie), Casa Mexico in the Italian Market, Cafe La Maude for brunch in Northern Liberties and for the best coffees and matcha lattes definitely hit up Menagerie in Old City. For some local market shopping Riverwards Produce is great with locations in both Fishtown and Old City. Hanging in all the city parks for a sunbathe or picnic is an easy must with my favorite being Clark Park in West Philly. Experience a more luxe pool party hitting up the W in Philadelphia for their Sunday Soulstice party. To catch some nighttime jazz vibes, hit up Time in the Gayborhood neighborhood. There is so much more, I could continue to add on but I think I will leave it here for now.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Wow, this is tough. There were certainly some books I can’t go without mentioning that inspired and supported this journey I have been on. These books include, The Power Of Now and The Alchemist followed by The Untethered Soul. I would also need to mention the soul family that I was surrounded by about 5 years ago. All of whom were super inspiring and supportive in the process of navigating life as an entrepreneur. And so much of the support, love and encouragement came from the community I began building through the journaling workshops 4 years ago. The community that continued to show up and share the importance of the space being created for the work that needed to be done.
