Meet Jaylee Tait

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaylee Tait and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jaylee, how does your business help the community?
Teed Up partners with nonprofit organizations to help them raise more funds during their golf tournaments. In 2025, we’ll be working with over 40 Colorado-based charities- bringing fun, engaging on-course activities that boost player enjoyment and raise donations.
We not only generate fundraising dollars directly, but also elevate the overall event experience- helping organizers attract more sponsors, retain players, and grow year after year. We take pride in making every player feel welcome and energized, because we believe a thriving golf tournament community benefits everyone in our state.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Founded in 2023, Teed Up was created to help local organizations raise meaningful funds, while employing Colorado-based golf professionals and featuring prizes from local golf companies. In a competitive space, staying true to our Colorado roots, and putting nonprofit impact first, has been our priority and the reason we continue to stand out.
Teed Up hosted the Tour Pro-Am in May, an event that brings together professional female golfers from across the country and around the world. Held the day before the Inspirato Colorado Women’s Open, the Pro-Am is designed to provide these athletes with additional financial support to help sustain their playing careers. This event is truly a passion project for me. After hosting it for several years, my goal is to continue growing it each year, helping more female pros and giving our local golf community a chance to see their talent up close. It’s about creating opportunities, celebrating women in golf, and making a meaningful impact in the sport I love.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned as a business owner is the value of building genuine relationships. The more we support each other, the more we all thrive.
Golf has seen a recent surge in popularity, but for me, it’s been a lifelong passion. As an instructor at Lone Tree Golf Club & Hotel for the past six years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching people how to play and helping them discover their own love for the game. Now, expanding into the charity golf world has been an incredibly rewarding chapter, combining purpose with passion in a whole new way.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love the city of Golden, so my perfect day there would start with a morning hike or walk along Clear Creek. In the afternoon, we’d play a round at Fossil Trace Golf Club, one of the most unique courses in the state. To wrap up the day, dinner in beautiful downtown Golden.
If there’s more time, I’d head up to the Silverthorne and Breckenridge area for some incredible mountain golf and unique outdoor adventures. It’s the perfect blend of nature, sport, and Colorado charm.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Colorado Under Par is a local golf event management company that gave us the encouragement we needed to truly dive in and grow Teed Up. Andrew Muller has been instrumental in bringing Colorado businesses and nonprofits together, fostering a spirit of collaboration where everyone can thrive.
