We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer Agudelo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jennifer, what role has risk played in your life or career?
The biggest risk I’ve taken was up rooting my life while having established clientele with my little one from Florida to Colorado not knowing a soul. It’s pushed me to be my very best version of myself. I’ve learned to grow your really do need to change your environment. Not knowing anyone really forces you to put your self out there, eventually you end up finding your people.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Hair didn’t always come easy to me, it clicked about 4 years in which honestly sounds terrifying now when I think about it. It was hard to put in the hours the way some of the others I started with because I had a little one, navigating motherhood in a new career was exhausting. I refused to give up and while it took a little longer than most between working in not such great salon to having to juggle a second full time Job and motherhood I’m proud to say it was all worth it! Hard work and consistency truly does overcome natural given talent. If at first, you don’t succeed try and try again.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Whenever my best friends visit I always take them to work out in the mornings at the yard in Arvada, nothing beat moving your body in the morning! Followed by one fold for a yummy breakfast, I’m a mermaid in the mountains so definitely evergreen lake to go paddle boarding & canoeing under the sun.
