Meet Mariah Chere | Marketing & Events Agency

We had the good fortune of connecting with Mariah Chere and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mariah, how do you define success?
For me, success is not a destination or a dollar amount. It’s a feeling of alignment, of impact, of living in your purpose and helping others live in theirs. It’s about doing what you love in a way that uplifts others, honors your values, and creates real connection.
I believe success is communal. It’s not something we have to compete for—there is enough for all of us. We each carry something unique, and when we come together with intention, collaboration, and care, we can create something far greater than we ever could alone.
With my marketing and events agency, I see success in the small businesses that grow because someone believed in them. I see it in the creative who finally feels seen. I see it in the joy and healing that can come from spaces designed to celebrate identity, culture, and community. In that way, success is about being part of the solution—about helping to heal what’s been overlooked or undervalued.
We live in a world that often tells us we have to hustle, compete, or conform to be “successful.” But I think real success is about finding your truth, owning your story, and using your gifts to make the world a little softer, a little stronger, and a lot more beautiful—for yourself and for others.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My career has been anything but linear. I’ve been working since I was 14, across industries, across states, across dreams. I’ve taken the corporate route, I’ve done the modeling and acting hustle in LA, and I’ve also spent time fully immersed in creative work that lights me up. Each chapter taught me something, but not all of them fed my soul.
Before I moved to LA, I was already deeply involved in Denver’s creative scene, running modeling workshops, teaching people how to pose, prepare their portfolios, walk in runway shows, and really own their presence. It wasn’t just about modeling; it was about confidence, self-expression, and creating spaces for people to see themselves differently. That work gave me purpose, and it stayed with me long after I left.
In LA, I experienced firsthand the glamour and the grind of Hollywood. On the outside, I was “making it”, but on the inside, I was shrinking. I saw how much of yourself you’re expected to give away just to be “enough” in the eyes of an industry that rarely sees the full human. I reached a point where I realized I couldn’t sacrifice my values, my voice, or my creative spirit just to fit into someone else’s mold. It wasn’t worth the cost.
After stepping away from that world, life took another unexpected turn, I became seriously ill with Lyme disease. It was a slow, painful unraveling of everything I thought I knew about myself and my path. Over the course of a few years, I had to sit with the discomfort, the stillness, the uncertainty. But I also found deep gratitude—for life, for breath, for the smallest joys. That time forced me to strip away what didn’t matter, to release anything that didn’t align with the truth of who I am and what I want to offer the world.
Choosing this creative path felt like the easiest and hardest decision at once. Easy, because I’ve always been a creative at heart, it’s in everything I do. But hard, because society often tells artists they’re not enough. That we’ll always struggle. That this kind of work isn’t “real.” The self-doubt creeps in not just from within, but from everywhere around you. I’ve had to unlearn that narrative and remind myself (daily) that purpose, joy, and integrity are worth more than any paycheck tied to a soul-sucking role.
What I’ve learned is that it’s okay to change your mind. It’s okay to let go of one dream to make space for something more aligned. The only constant in life is change, and you are worthy of becoming whoever you need to be in order to feel whole.
Right now, I’m incredibly proud and excited to be putting on an event called RIAHTFEST, happening August 1–3, 2025 It’s not just a mini music and wellness festival, it’s an extension of my love. A love for art, for community, for healing, for expression, and for holding space where people feel seen, heard, and celebrated. Everything I do is rooted in collaboration, connection, and heart.
What sets me apart is how I show up. I’m not just here to promote or plan, I’m here to pour in. I lead with love even in the darkest times, even after facing illness, trauma, and some really hard chapters in my life. I believe in showing up anyway. With heart. With empathy. With presence. I support others through their own creative paths, even when they’re in the same space as me, especially when they are. Because I truly believe there’s no room for competition when you lead with love.
I’ve built my brand, and my life, on the belief that when one of us rises, we all rise. That’s the energy behind everything I create, and that’s what I hope people feel in every space I hold.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting Denver for a week, I’d want them to experience everything I love about this city.
Day 1 – Welcome & Chill Vibes
We’d start easy. Grab coffee at one of my favorite local spots Hello Darling and catch up. For dinner, maybe hit a cozy neighborhood restaurant with a great vibe—something casual but delicious. Then unwind at a local bar or lounge with live music or a good patio.
Day 2 – Nature + Art Day
We’d spend the morning near a river or lake—maybe walking along the Platte or heading to Sloan’s Lake. In the afternoon, we’d explore local art spaces—anything from galleries to small markets or murals in cool neighborhoods. Then dinner somewhere vibey, followed by a local music show.
Day 3 – Hiking + Healing
Pack snacks and water, and go on a gorgeous hike—something not too far but with epic views. There are so many to choose from. Later, we’d do something grounding—maybe a community yoga session or sound bath, or just chill in the park with some music and journaling time.
Day 4 – Red Rocks Day
This is a must. If there’s a show, we’re going. If not, we’d hike around the area and explore the amphitheater—it’s spiritual out there. On the way back, we’d stop for food and maybe hit a lowkey spot for a nightcap.
Day 5 – Art & Community
We’d check out creative pop-ups, markets, or community events—whatever’s happening that weekend. I’d show them where the artists and dreamers hang out, introduce them to some local creatives I love. This day would be all about connection and inspiration.
Day 6 – Bar Hop + Dance Night
After a relaxed day, we’d go out. Hit some fun, local bars with good energy—not just for drinking but for dancing, laughing, people-watching. Denver has some hidden gems with great music and even better people.
Day 7 – Wind Down
On the last day, we’d go back to nature—maybe sit by the water, reflect, be still. Maybe grab brunch, walk a local trail, journal, or just talk. Something peaceful and intentional to soak it all in.
Denver is full of beautiful contrasts, wild nature and rich creativity, quiet moments and loud joy. I love that I can feel free and inspired here, and that’s exactly what I’d want my friend to experience.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many amazing people and spaces in Denver that have played a role in my journey—it’s hard to name just one. But I definitely want to shout out HerHaus Denver and the community they’ve built. It’s more than just a space—it’s a hub for connection, growth, creativity, and healing. Being surrounded by so many powerful, intentional, and inspiring women and nonbinary folks has reminded me of the beauty of collaboration and the power of showing up as your full self.
