We had the good fortune of connecting with Miriam Quiroz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Miriam, looking back, what do you think was the most difficult decision you’ve had to make?
The most difficult decision we had to make was to decide between starting our own business or to pay the rent of our home, it was a hard choice, because we have a family to think about and at the moment we were both jobless and waiting our third kid and we only had that money on our accounts. We decided to start the business and gladly it was a success and we got our rent money back multiplied.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
It was a business that started based on missing the food of our hometown, we had just arrived to USA and we had nothing on our name, we started just making hot dogs at our home and we didn’t even knew go to make hot dogs at first, but with time and effort we started grewing a business. We had our losses and our wins but when the moment came to step forward and build our own label, we took it and here we are now.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would take him to the mountains in Aspen, to God’s garden and to take a walk to the downtown.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We’d like to thank Candelaria Ochoa, and Carlos Peraza (co-founder), for the support, to Luis Rocha for the help on Marketing and Martin for the prototype and building of the hot dog kart and to Armando Villa for being a fundamental part on the operation process.
