We had the good fortune of connecting with Sara Cripe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sara, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
So, why did I write this book and launch this business? Simple, because I was damn tired of watching brilliant women second-guess themselves into “analysis paralysis” or burnout. I’ve owned multiple businesses over the years, but this one? This one gets me excited! After years in marketing, mentoring, hyping, and coaching other business owners, I realized what so many of us were missing wasn’t strategy… it was clarity, confidence, and the guts to shake shit up!

Women lead differently. We build differently. And we sure as hell feel differently when things get messy. I wrote She’s the Strategy™ for bold, amazing women who are ready to finally get clear AF on what the hell they’re doing and how they’re going to show up like the powerhouse they are.

This isn’t just some fluffy workbook with surface-level questions. Nope. This is a full-blown mindset rebellion. From defining your identity to owning your failures, this book walks you through the real, raw, unfiltered work of becoming the CEO of your own damn life. It’s about writing down exactly how you’re going to show up, for your business, your vision, and most importantly, for you. Because let’s be honest: entrepreneurship is hard. It’s easy to lose yourself in the chaos. That’s why this book helps you get grounded in who you are, what you stand for, and how to hold yourself accountable.

And let’s talk accountability, daily, weekly, and monthly prompts keep you aligned with your goals, and when life throws you off track (because it will), there’s space for realignment too. It’s raw. It’s motivating. It’s exactly what I wish I had when I started. And now, it’s here for the women who are ready to lead with clarity, confidence, and a little bit of cursing!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
One of my wild, slightly outrageous (but totally happening) goals is to become a keynote speaker, and I created this book as a way to open that door and connect with as many amazing, driven, heart-on-fire humans as possible. Nothing lights me up more than hearing someone say, “Because of you, I showed up differently.” That’s the ultimate compliment. That’s the why behind everything I create.

What sets me apart? I bring strategy, mindset, and motivation with a whole lot of honesty and a little bit of sass. I don’t sugarcoat the hard parts of entrepreneurship, and I definitely don’t pretend like I’ve always had it figured out. Trust me, I’ve cried in the closet more times than I can count (and yes, I joke about it, but it was very real). I spent way too long trying to do it all myself, wearing every hat, burning out, and wondering why I felt like I was drowning.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned? Asking for help isn’t weakness, it’s wisdom. Delegating and letting go of that “I have to do everything” mindset was a turning point in my life and business. I’m still working on that sacred work/life balance (aren’t we all?), but I’ve come a hell of a long way, and I’m proud of the space I’ve created, for myself and for the women I serve.

What do I want the world to know? That She’s the Strategy™ isn’t just a workbook. It’s a movement. A rebellion against burnout, perfectionism, and playing small. It’s for the women who are done winging it and are ready to claim their space, their voice, and their damn vision — with clarity, confidence, and a touch of bad language!

Because if I can rebuild from burnout and build a brand that actually feels like me — so can you. And babe, I’ll be cheering you on the whole damn way!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my bestie’s coming to visit, they better be ready for a week full of chill vibes, killer views, strong cocktails, and just enough chaos to keep it interesting.

I live in the beautiful little mountain town of Woodland Park, and I’m absolutely obsessed with the small-town charm and the people who make it feel like home. First stop? Rampart Reservoir — we’re loading up the kayaks, tossing on some sunglasses, and floating our worries away with jaw-dropping mountain views and the kind of quiet that feeds your soul.

After soaking up the sun, it’s time to refuel with craft cocktails and seriously bomb food at Red Diamond Gastropub, trust me, their menu is chef’s kiss. Then, once we’re feeling good (and maybe a little bold), we’re heading to 110 Reserve for some karaoke magic with Rocky n Roll Music. And yes, we’re belting out power ballads with the locals!

Later in the week, we’d take the scenic route to Cripple Creek for a little old-school gambling — because who doesn’t love a few slots and a lot of laughs with mountain views all around?

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Where do I even start?! First and foremost, I’ve got to shout out the badass business women in my world, the ones who constantly inspire me to push further, think wilder, and show up bolder. They remind me why I do what I do. When you’re the one cheering everyone else on, sometimes you need the hype, and these women never let me forget my magic. There are far too many to name, but just know: if you’ve ever cheered me on, dropped a truth bomb, or reminded me who the hell I am — I see you, and I love you.

I also want to thank my two incredible sons, my parents, my sister, and my boyfriend. They’re the calm in my chaos and the fire in my hustle. They keep me grounded, remind me to be real, and encourage me to keep showing up as my most authentic self — even on the messy days.

To my circle, my crew, my people — thank you for believing in me on the days I questioned everything. This book, this mission, this movement? It’s not just mine. It’s ours.
