Meet Tecie Haller | Nurse Practitioner in Radiation Oncology ( and Mac Daly MD, Radiation Oncologist)

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tecie Haller and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tecie, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
Mackenzie Daly and Tecie Haller work together in Radiation Oncology where we witness an increasing need among patients. Receiving cancer treatments can place a significant burden on families, and many patients struggle to meet their basic needs.
In 2023 we decided we wanted to host a community centered event around Halloween, and we wanted that event to ultimately benefit a charitable organization. Working in oncology, we see so many patients in need and we repeatedly see The Circle of Hope coming through for those patients. The Circle of Hope is a fund designed to offer financial assistance to cancer patients and their families in need. Managed through the Memorial Hospital Foundation, this fund helps patients cover essential expenses such as food, transportation, and utilities.
Our inaugural year (2023) we raised about $10,000 through our family-friendly Witches Ride and for our second year we raised almost $30,000 to help the patients in our community.
The Circle of Hope program assisted approximately 321 patients in the community with more than $157,360 for medical equipment, lodging, transportation, and nutrition. As we promoted our event in the community we realized how many individuals are unaware of this growing need.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Mackenzie Daly is a Radiation Oncologist.
Tecie Haller is an Advanced Practice Provider in Radiation Oncology.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We have a wonderful community for cycling. There are many bike paths / urban trails. I would have my friend bike the route for the Witches Ride to downtown for a beverage at Mash Mechanix and to brunch at one of the many downtown restaurants – my favorite “Garden of the Gods Market Cafe. After lunch, I would have my friends walk down Tejon for an eclectic shopping experience.
I would encourage them to hike through Garden of the Gods.
I would tell my friend to stop by Distillery 291 for an evening of music and cocktails.
For a variety of menu options, I would have my guests dine at Ambli for
Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is always a place I take guests! Our zoo is one of a kind.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We have had an overwhelming amount of support from our colleagues in Radiation Oncology at both the Colorado Springs Campus and Anschutz Campus.
We have a host of sponsors that made our event a success – University of Colorado Medicine – Department of Radiation Oncology, UCHealth Thoracic Surgery, Pulmonary Associates, and Grace Dental, to name a few. We had many volunteers and ride participants that we lend our success.
