We had the good fortune of connecting with Vickie Autry and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Vickie, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I have always been up for a new adventure. I have owned multiple businesses during my career. I love providing a service that makes people happy.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I have a national health coach practice. After years of yo-yo diets and numerous health concerns, I found my program. I am a believer I had to personally learn what sound nutrition looked like in order to create lifelong healthy habits. I also needed continuous support as well as sound education in order to make sure I never fell back into old patterns. I knew that my WHYs were huge – I needed to travel into my late 80’s to visit my family in Australia including my grands. This gift of health I found was so instrumental in changing my health, I decided to pay it forward and coach others.

I have now coached hundreds of clients and have a team of coaches who have partnered with me. We coach for many reasons – impact, accountability, income, and community to name a few.

This business is not easy but it is a passion business. Retiring early to help others has been a dream. Watching clients reach their health goals, get off medications, and create a healthy life they only dreamed about is so rewarding. Top that off with watching coaches dream big and seeing the dreams come to life! I feel incredibly blessed.

Personally, I am still a work in progress. I am working towards ultimate health and growing a business that is a strong 6 figure business. I will get there. It’s not if, it’s when.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love South Colorado Springs. If I had company visit, we would visit the following places:
– Manitou Springs
– Pikes Peak via the cog rail
– Old Colorado City
– Garden of the Gods
– Seven Falls
– The Broadmoor

We would most likely eat at:
– Jake and Telly’s
– Crystal Cantina
– 1858
– Walters (not Marigold’s)

We don’t go out much at night. We love to sit on our back deck and just enjoy the area.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have an amazing mentorship within my health practice organization. I receive daily and weekly training which I love as well as opportunities to meet peers and our leadership team in person via conferences and award trips.

I would also like to give a huge shout out to Polka Dots. This group of women not only inspire me but they have provided me with opportunities to learn and grow.
