I think the most important factor behind the success of my brand is taking the advice of a successful mentor. Larry Herz from Our Community Now gave me the precious gift of his time early on and I did everything I could to honor that and grow my page. To this day he continues to give me advice and I endeavor to implement it as best I can. Read more>>

Behind the success of any great brand is first and foremost, the team. Our people are truly outstanding members of their respective communities and dedicated employees to our practice. Additionally, we’ve all collectively created an incredibly impactful culture, which is directed by our core values, mission, and commitment to giving back. When these are synchronistic, combined with an outstanding service or product, success is imminent. Read more>>

Self development. Around the time I started my business I read a book that changed everything for me and it was called, “You are a Badass”, by Jen Sincero. That book really introduced me to the concept of self development and from there I was hooked. When I was first starting out, I didn’t know anything about business and pretty much everything felt scary. All the different books and interviews I started reading and listening to really helped me overcome all of those initial emotions of starting something entirely new. I started to learn that pretty much everything we do is controlled by our subconscious mind including what we do or don’t do for our business. I had a lot of limiting beliefs in my subconscious and quite a few fear-based thoughts that all needed an overhaul. By doing all of the work involved in self development, I was able to rewrite those thoughts and beliefs and set myself on a more positive trajectory. And this is all ongoing for me. Read more>>

It is a great honor to be part of the most special day of someone’s life, and a joy to be able to capture the moments that mean the most to them. This honor is what drives me to do well in my business, which brings me to the most important factor behind my success: constantly trying to become the best that I can be in this industry. I found that when I took as little as 10-15 minutes per day to improve my website or watch YouTube videos on lighting/posing/business improvement, I would book more. Maintaining a consistent style and charging what you’re worth (many of us entrepreneurs undercharge!) also contribute to a successful business. Read more>>

I kept going. When everyone else was growing faster than me, I kept going at my own steady pace. I didn’t let the success of others appear as my own failures. I grew on my own terms so I would have an audience that was authentic and engaging. Read more>>

Community. We are a community of Filmmakers and that is how we function. There is a lot of misleading information on how to act as a creative in the filmmaking world. Hollywood has jaded the whole system and now you have to be enemies with filmmakers in the town your in. That is in fact how Hollywood keeps a stronghold on filmmaking in America. Convincing you that you need to go to a Filmmaking hub like LA to be successful. Even in the Denver community, there is some disconnect. There is a lot of filmmakers in Denver, Boulder, Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Greeley, and Even up in Cheyanne, WY. Now that attitude I have even hurt is “Are you making (insert local town) films, or are you making REAL films.” Read more>>

Mark Gutierrez | Musician / Creator of MaRKI3 & MaRKI3 MaGIK

The most important factor behind the success of my brand has always been authenticity. Staying true to myself through my music allows me to attract a likeminded following. My fans and I share similar experiences, interests, and ideas, so I can effortlessy promote my brand by simply being genuine to who I am as a person. This all starts with me being as vulnerable and honest as possible through my craft of music. This is important because it takes much more energy promoting a false narrative for yourself rather than just living out your truth through honest expression. This can apply to any type of business pushing a product. Read more>>
