Ever since I was younger, I never fit in a box. I didn’t care much for school or sports. I always wanted to just be drawing and creating. I am an artist who works in watercolor, oils and sculptural painting. I grew up in a very creative home. My mother was gifted with a great imagination along with a talent for handling color. My uncle, who lived with us was a fine artist. They were always creating things together: paintings, murals and furniture. Their creativity knew no bounds. We did a lot of projects together. From a young age, I was always creative and loved to draw, paint and do pottery. I loved mixing colors, patterns and textures. I’ve also always been drawn to beautiful spaces. For as long as I can remember I have been “pursuing” an artistic life. Beginning with making music with family when I was very young, I suppose that caused me to constantly reach for that thing we all love about art. My own drive to make music, and art drew me more and more to others that did the same, and were actually much more adept. Ever since I was young I have these memories of being so drawn to create things with my own hands. My mom really had a big impact on motivating me to pursue my dreams and that I could create anything I wanted. My creativity began with my love for baking. I create book content on TikTok. Before I started, I found that I was missing community in my day to day life. I had friends that I would talk to about my personal life, but I didn’t have anyone to talk to about books. Creating content on TikTok was always something I had thought about, but I didn’t really know what I wanted to post.
