Hi Brandon / Kate, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
The foundation of NuMyco Supplements was built on helping our community and those we care about live a healthier, higher-quality life. Our business helps our community and anyone living in the United States, by giving affordable alternatives to those seeking to improve their health mentally and physically. We also believe that anyone who is seeking to use traditional natural medicine, deserves to be properly educated on the history, safety and science behind the plants, so they can be as informed as possible to making the best decisions when it comes to using alternative medicine.

What should our readers know about your business?
NuMyco Supplements is an online based business that offers natural supplements and telehealth services. This gives individuals the ability to either purchase plant medicine on their own, or utilize the telehealth services for a more in depth and personalized approach that includes formulas that are not otherwise openly offered. A big thing that sets us apart from others in the scope of natural medicine, is that we do not shun modern medicine and instead believe that there can be a co-existence between the two. At the end of the day, modern medicine has its place, and we absolutely acknowledge that. Additionally, we conduct in depth analytical research into all usable herbal substances, and have the ability to work with the complete extent of Traditional Chinese Medicine. We also believe that clients should have access to affordable care that meets all of their needs. At NuMyco, we ensure that everything is handled by us, and either grown by us or is sourced from sustainable farms so our prices stay affordable. Something we are the most proud and excited about is being able to provide education and resources along with a personal approach to health. An educated community is a healthier community. We started our business on our own, fueled by a deep curiosity and passion for health sciences. What began as a personal pursuit quickly grew, entirely through word of mouth. The journey hasn’t always been easy, but the growth happened organically, guided by genuine interest and trust from our community. A lesson we have learned along the way, is that there will always be people who are against what we do. There are also others interested in natural medicine, who do not define what they do with scientific fact, which unfortunately has created a stigma on the concept of naturopathy. The best course of action is to stay true to our values, purpose, and mission, and to not let ourselves be influenced by others that have different beliefs. We want individuals to know that we want to be a safe place for them to come to, and that we value those that entrust us. Traditional natural medicine has been used for thousands of years, and we want to bring that back with the modern medical understanding of biochemistry that we have today, to be able to safely apply our practices and prescriptions with scholarly research backing.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We have an amazing zoo that is among the top 10 in the United States and is working to greatly expand and tailor its experiences to an even wider audience. Allen County also has various nature preserves, lots of walking trails, and a large number of year round farmers markets. Our local community college, Purdue Fort Wayne also brings in a lot of local artists and art oriented events and viewings. Summertime is a great time to check out a variety of events including German Fest, Greek Fest, Rib Fest, Cherry Blossom Festival, and the Allen County Fair to name a few.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
NuMyco Supplements originated solely from our own initiative and motivation with little external support. We had a dream to help create a healthy community and set out on a path to make our dream become reality. We would like to dedicate our shoutout to everyone who has supported our business from the start, and entrusted us with their care. Being able to see positive results and impacts on our clients has kept the momentum going for our small business and reminds us every day of why we do what we do.
