Meet Dr. Jennifer “Jen” Andrade, DC, CAVCA | Human & Animal Chiropractor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Jennifer “Jen” Andrade, DC, CAVCA and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr. Jennifer “Jen”, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
Other than deciding to work for myself, the single most important decision I made that contributed to my success was choosing to expand my practice to include Animal Chiropractic.
That one decision completely transformed my path, not just professionally, but personally. I established my human practice in mid 2018 and was growing steadily until the pandemic hit in 2020. The next couple of years were focused on simply surviving as a business. I found myself feeling burnt out and disconnected, so I did some deep introspection and hired a life coach to help me rediscover my purpose.
That journey led me to pursue certification in Animal Chiropractic, and it opened up an entirely new chapter. It gave me the opportunity to serve families in a more meaningful way by supporting both people and their beloved pets. Watching dogs regain mobility, seeing horses return to performance, and hearing stories of joy and hope from pet parents—that’s when I knew I was doing exactly what I was meant to do.
It also helped me connect more deeply with my community, educate pet owners, and build a business that truly reflects my heart and mission. It was a leap, but it’s been one of the most rewarding decisions of my career.

What should our readers know about your business?
When I first opened my Chiropractic practice seven years ago, I never imagined I’d one day be adjusting dogs in their living rooms or horses in their barns. But here I am, and I wouldn’t change a thing.
Elevate Health Chiropractic began as a Chiropractic office focused on helping active individuals feel and function their best. Whether it was relieving pain, improving mobility, or supporting recovery, my goal was always to help people move better and live more fully. But over time, something kept tugging at me: a deep love for animals and a desire to serve them in the same way I help their humans. That calling led me to the Animal Chiropractic Certification Program at Parker University and completely transformed my path.
One of my earliest animal patients was an 11-year-old German Shepherd who was struggling to get up the stairs and into the car. Her mom reached out because she didn’t want to rely solely on medication. She wanted something gentler and more holistic. After just a few sessions, this sweet dog was bounding to the door with a toy in her mouth, greeting me like I was her best friend. That moment stuck with me. It reminded me that what I do is more than just align spines. It’s about restoring joy and quality of life for both pets and their people.
What sets my business apart is the connection I build with the families I serve. I’m mobile, so I meet animals where they’re most comfortable, at home or in the barn, which makes the care experience much less stressful and far more effective. I’ve found that animals truly relax in their own environment, and I get to witness their real personalities shine through. I’ve sat on living room floors with nervous pups who would’ve shut down in a clinic, and I’ve scratched the sweet spot on a horse’s neck right before an adjustment while the barn cat curls up on my table. These moments are more than convenient. They’re meaningful. They build trust, safety, and healing in a way that just can’t be rushed or replicated in a clinical setting.
I’m most proud of the trust I’ve built in my community and the results we see, whether it’s a paralyzed pup taking steps again or a horse moving more freely under saddle. And right now, I’m excited to be expanding into a physical space that will bring human and animal Chiropractic care together under one roof, creating a true healing hub for the whole family.
At the heart of it all, my mission is simple:
🐾 Move better. Feel better. Live better.
For animals. For humans. For everyone.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting Denver for a week, I’d want to give them a full taste of what makes this area so vibrant. Epic mountain views, good food, local charm, and some intentional wellness, of course.
**Day 1: Welcome to the Mile High City**
We’d start our adventure in LoDo with a cup of locally roasted coffee from Queen City Collective, then stroll around Union Station and enjoy brunch at Snooze. After a relaxed afternoon settling in, we’d gear up for an evening of energy and excitement at a Denver Nuggets game at Ball Arena. Nothing beats that hometown spirit and courtside energy to kick off a trip.
**Day 2: Mountain Vibes and Healing Energy**
We’d head to Red Rocks for a morning hike and take in the stunning natural amphitheater and panoramic views. Then we’d head into Golden for lunch and explore the charming downtown shops. In the afternoon, we’d wind down with a sound bath or float session at a local wellness spot because balance is key.
**Day 3: Animal Love and Holistic Health**
I’d let them tag along on a mobile Animal Chiropractic visit if they’re up for it, to see what I do and meet some four-legged locals. Afterward, we’d drive up to Evergreen for a scenic lake walk and a cozy coffee break at Java Groove, a perfect mountain town gem. In the evening, we’d enjoy a relaxed dinner at home or find a nearby spot for something comforting and delicious.
**Day 4: Urban Adventure**
We’d spend the day exploring Denver Central Market, Tattered Cover Bookstore, and popping into local boutiques on South Pearl or Highlands Square. Lunch would be at Acova, one of my favorite neighborhood spots with a great patio and comfort food done right. For dinner, we’d head to Linger, a trendy spot with global street food flair and some of the best rooftop views of the city skyline.
**Day 5: Day Trip Magic**
Time to escape to the mountains with a day in Boulder. We’d start with a hike at Chautauqua, then head to Bellota for lunch with bold Mexican flavors and a fun vibe. After strolling Pearl Street and soaking up the local energy, we’d finish the day with a hearty Italian dinner at Pasta Jay’s before heading back to Denver full and happy.
**Day 6: Local Life and Good Vibes**
We’d start the day at the Union Station Farmers Market and then head to Cherry Creek for a mix of shopping and people-watching. In the afternoon, we’d treat ourselves to a massage or wellness session. Dinner would be at Culinary Dropout with live music, great food, and a lively atmosphere. Their pretzel bites and cocktails are always a hit.
**Day 7: Brunch and Reflection**
We’d wrap up the week with brunch at Lucile’s Creole Café, then enjoy a slow morning at City Park or the Denver Botanic Gardens. We’d reflect on the week, laugh a lot, and make plans for their next trip back. Because once you get a taste of Denver life, you’re going to want more.
There’s something about Denver. It’s laid-back but full of life, surrounded by beauty and buzzing with creativity. And the people are some of the most grounded, outdoorsy, wellness-loving folks around. It’s the perfect blend of city energy and mountain soul.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many people who have supported me along the way, but if I had to dedicate a shoutout, it would be to a few key sources of encouragement that helped me step into the world of Animal Chiropractic.
First, a huge thank you to my dear friend Natalie Morrow who encouraged me to hire a life coach and truly follow my heart. That moment of encouragement set everything in motion. My life coach helped me reconnect with my purpose and reminded me of the bigger “why” behind my work. Her support was instrumental in helping me take the leap into Animal Chiropractic.
I also want to recognize the incredible faculty and staff of the Animal Chiropractic certification program at Parker University. Their passion, expertise, and support made a lasting impact on me. The knowledge and hands-on experience they provided gave me the skills and confidence to serve animals with excellence and heart. That program was a true turning point in my journey.
To my clients, the pet parents who took a chance on something unfamiliar and trusted me with the care of their beloved animals: your stories, your joy, and your belief in what I do continue to inspire me every single day.
And most importantly, my deepest gratitude goes to my husband, Cardo Andrade, for his unwavering support through it all. His steady belief in me and my vision has made every step of this journey possible.
My path has been shaped by encouragement, education, and love from so many directions and I’m endlessly grateful for each and every one.
