We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaidene Anderlini and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jaidene, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I lost my job and couldn’t find a job in marketing which was my background but due to agism (it is alive and well), I was unable to secure employment so I decided to use my background in child care and marketing to begin my own business. I also have a lot of compassion for children and their safety.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
When I started Babysitters In a PInch 10 years ago I had no idea what I was doing. I’ve made a ton of mistakes, learned a lot but my continued focus has always been and will always be providing child care that is meaningful and exceptional to children and families. Recently I just went through a re-brand changing our name from Babysitters In a PInch to Love Certified Child Care to indicate that our team are more than babysitters, they are professionals with education and experience. Our team of child care providers offers more than the kid down the street will and though most don’t want to make a career of “babysitting” they do treat it as a profession. I’m excited about our rebrand and the difference we offer with consulting and al-a-carte services that families can add-on to their child care to help the family even more than just child care by itself.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Due to Covid, I have forgotten a lot of places I used to go to. My favorite restaurant in Denver is Fruition because their food is perfect in every way and they have a phenomenal wine list with a staff that can really assist you in your selection. I will always take friends and family to parks to walk and Denver has a lot of outdoor spaces that you can enjoy. the Wildlife Sanctuary is a must along with the Butterfly Pavilion. Cocktails and dessert will always be Chocolate Lab or my house because I like making cocktails. The theater will normally include Buntport Theater in Denver but I think Covid has probably had its toll on this little theater group.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Dr. Melissa Scholes really helped me along with my business and was nearly my very first client and is still with me to this day (10 years later). I also want to thank the Facebook page, Physician Mommys, they are always mentioning me and my service. They consistently recommend my service to fellow doctors. I wouldn’t be here without them.
