Meet Lenka Dostalova

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lenka Dostalova and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lenka, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I’m Lenka, and people often call me an “instant dose of sunshine.” I’m a certified holistic life/breath coach and an Oxygen Advantage breath instructor. In this fast-paced world, we’ve disconnected from our true selves, and so I guide people on how to reconnect not only with their inner self but also with Mother Nature. I inspire them to slow down, relax, and switch their mindset from always doing to simply being by concentrating on their breath 24/7, practicing functional breathing, and embracing cold exposures in order to live life fully instead of just letting it pass by.
I grew up in the Czech Republic and moved to the U.S. when I was 20. I spent most of my childhood on my grandparents’ farm, where I fell in love with gardening and flowers. I saw flowers as a beautiful way to make people smile and feel happy, and that’s all I wanted to do—to share my love and happiness everywhere I went. My parents didn’t love the idea of becoming a floral designer for my future, so I became a bookkeeper, but my love for flowers and their magic was a living fire inside of me. When I moved to the U.S., I found my way back into the floral world.
I started as a helper and quickly moved into a designer role, then a manager, and eventually opened my own flower shop. I worked alongside some of the best floral designers in the country, competed in floral competitions, and had my designs published in magazines. I was part of million-dollar weddings and events most of us can only dream about. It was beautiful, unreal, insane, and amazing, but it was also a very hard, stressful job with long hours and no holidays.
After 15 years as a floral designer and flower shop owner, I found myself at a crossroads. I still wanted to make people happy, but I couldn’t continue in an industry that was so demanding. I wanted to bring a smile to people’s faces, but not just for a few hours at an event—I wanted to engrave the feeling of happiness in their hearts forever.
That’s when life coaching and functional breathing came into my life. I graduated from the Health Coach Institute and shortly after became a certified Oxygen Advantage breath instructor. Feeling good, happy, and living a balanced, fulfilling life in harmony and peace have always been my guides. I wanted to combine what I believe in and what I live for to help others see the beauty of life itself, be more present, and take steps toward a more peaceful, joyful life—a life that truly aligns with their dreams.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is called “Say YES to life,” a name that perfectly resonates with me because a simple “yes” changed the way I live my life. It’s a word that has navigated me through my entire journey, and I love inspiring others to say yes to their own lives—to live fully in the moment by connecting with nature, slowing down, and forming healthy habits.
For me, my business is all about empowering people to find peace and resilience through the power of their own breath. I am a certified holistic life/breath coach and an Oxygen Advantage Breath Instructor. What truly sets me apart is my belief that self-care should be easy and accessible. We often take our breath for granted, yet it is a wonderful tool we already have within us. It’s free, we can use it anywhere, at any time, and it empowers us without relying on anything or anyone from the outside.
I teach a variety of simple, yet effective, breathing techniques that anyone can use 24/7. These practices can be used for grounding, gaining more energy, achieving calmness in a state of anxiety, being more present, sleeping better, strengthening the immune system, raising the body’s ability to heal, improving digestion, and much more.
My programs are built around the loving wisdom of nature, which makes the practices feel more personal and profound. I offer a variety of breathing workshops and courses both in person and online for individuals, groups, small businesses, and corporate companies. I also lead guided hikes where I teach people to use their breath while being active and connecting with Mother Nature.
My favorite is the winter season when I get to teach people how to embrace the cold and fall in love with it by exposing themselves to cold air or plunges on guided hikes and retreats. The biggest lesson I’ve learned on this journey is that authenticity is everything. When you build from a place of genuine passion, the right people will always find you.
I’m most proud of the moments when my clients tell me they’ve used a simple breathing exercise to get through a difficult moment; those small wins are everything to me. What I enjoy the most is that I get to speak to my clients in a language that is universal to all of us—our breath. I get to speak to them from my heart to theirs. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing the spark in their eyes once they discover the beauty of life and the beauty of who they truly are.
My wish for everyone is to experience the beauty of simple living, the miracle our life is, and feel the love, bliss, and joy around. I want everyone to feel the magic of life itself when you allow yourself to slow down, be more present, and lead with your heart instead of your mind.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting, I wouldn’t plan a minute-by-minute itinerary. Instead, I’d give us a week to simply follow our hearts and let the perfect moments find us. The ultimate goal wouldn’t be to check off a list of places, but to be fully present and soak in the beauty that living in Colorado offers.
We would wake up with the sunrise and have a quiet moment of gratitude. Then, we would simply decide where our hearts wanted to go. Some days we might find ourselves on a trail to a hidden alpine lake, other days we might stumble upon a small-town coffee shop with a cozy patio and just sit and talk for hours. The most fun, interesting, and exciting thing to check out isn’t a place—it’s the feeling of freedom that comes from living without a plan.
My best friend would quickly learn that my favorite place to eat is at home. We would spend our mornings at local farmers’ markets, picking out fresh, colorful produce. We would cook every meal together, sharing stories over chopping boards and laughing while we bake bread. A meal isn’t just about the food; it’s about the connection it creates. It’s about sharing a meal with the people you love.
If there was a time to go out to eat or shop I would definitely choose a place where the locals hang out to support family owned businesses.
In my view, the “best time ever” isn’t about the destinations we visit. It’s about how we feel along the way. When we lead with our hearts and have no expectations, the perfect place—and the perfect meal—appears right in front of us. It’s the feeling of true freedom and a deep, present connection that is the real magic of this place.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’m so grateful for every single person who has been a part of my journey. There isn’t a person who hasn’t touched my heart in some way—each one has shown me a new perspective, a better way, or given me the encouragement I needed. But if I had to choose a single human who is constantly teaching me and changing the direction of my life, it would be my precious son.
