What role has risk taking played in your life or career?

In our experience, most folks, including ourselves don’t have enough of an understanding of risk and the role it plays in our lives and careers and so we have made a concerted effort as a team to have conversations about risk with our interviewees. We’ve shared some highlights below.

I’ve always felt like risk is at the heart of growth. Whether in life or a career. I think it started for me with skateboarding as a kid. You’d try the same trick a hundred times, fall, get hurt, get back up, and then one day it finally clicks. That taught me early on that anything worthwhile comes with some level of risk.

My Philosophy on Risk
I believe risk is the entry fee for a life of growth. For years, I sought comfort and stability, but experience has taught me that true security comes from knowing you can navigate a storm, not from perpetually avoiding one. My philosophy is simple: rough seas make stronger sailors. As an extrovert I have always been fond of the stage and the spotlight. Everytime I perform for any production in theatre I constantly strive to make bold choices which allows me to stand out. Risk taking is extremely courageous but extremely rewarding! Read More>>

The biggest risk I’ve taken was up rooting my life while having established clientele with my little one from Florida to Colorado not knowing a soul. It’s pushed me to be my very best version of myself. I’ve learned to grow your really do need to change your environment.
