Meet Adam White | Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Adam White and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Adam, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor has been building genuine trust with our customers, and that starts with our team. We’ve learned that people aren’t just buying a zipline ride – they’re buying confidence in us. When someone is 100 feet up in the air, potentially facing their biggest fear, the person guiding them becomes the most important person in their world at that moment.
So we invest heavily in hiring the right people and training them not just in technical skills, but in reading people and creating psychological safety. Our guides know how to recognize when someone is having a panic attack versus just normal nervousness, how to talk someone through their fear without pushing them, and when to celebrate small victories that might seem insignificant to others.
This approach has created something powerful – word-of-mouth marketing that you simply can’t buy. When someone conquers a major fear with us, they don’t just tell their friends about a fun activity. They tell an emotional story about personal growth and transformation. Those stories carry so much more weight than any advertising we could do.
The ripple effect is incredible. We’ve had people propose here because this place represents overcoming challenges together. We’ve had families reconnect. The adventure becomes a catalyst for something bigger, and when you’re part of people’s meaningful life moments, they become loyal advocates for your brand.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My career story isn’t one of predetermined success – it’s about recognizing opportunity in unexpected places and having the courage to say yes to the unknown. Nearly a decade ago, I had never even experienced a zipline, yet I found myself interviewing for a part-time guide position at The EDGE Ziplines & Adventures. That single decision changed everything.
What Sets Me Apart
What distinguishes me is my willingness to embrace the uncomfortable and learn from the ground up. I didn’t come into this industry with an MBA or a trust fund – I came with curiosity, work ethic, and an openness to learn. I’ve cleaned bathrooms, strapped harnesses on thousands of customers, handled marketing campaigns, managed P&L statements, and now navigate ownership decisions. This comprehensive experience gives me a unique perspective on every aspect of the business.
I approach challenges with what I call “practical fearlessness” – the same mindset we teach our customers on the ziplines. It’s not about being reckless; it’s about calculated risk-taking based on preparation and knowledge.
What I’m Most Proud Of
I’m proudest of the culture we’ve built – an environment where personal growth is just as important as business growth. We’ve created a place where someone like me, who started at the bottom, can eventually become an owner. I’m also proud that we’ve maintained our core mission while scaling: helping people discover what they’re capable of.
Overcoming Challenges
The journey hasn’t been easy. The 2020 pandemic was genuinely terrifying – we closed for nearly two months, unsure if we’d recover. When we reopened, what started as a cautious trickle of customers quickly became a flood. People were hungry for outdoor experiences and connection after months of isolation.
I learned that resilience isn’t just bouncing back – it’s having faith in your mission even when everything seems uncertain. During tough moments, I ask different questions: “What can this teach us?” “How can we emerge stronger?”
What I Want the World to Know
The EDGE isn’t just an adventure park – we’re in the business of human potential. Every experience is designed to help people discover they’re capable of more than they realized. My story proves that background doesn’t determine outcome. What matters is your willingness to learn, commitment to excellence, and courage to take the next step.
We’re creating a model for how businesses can lift people up, both literally and figuratively. That’s the legacy I’m building, one person at a time.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting, we’d absolutely start at The EDGE Ziplines & Adventures – the largest aerial adventure park in Colorado. This isn’t just a quick zipline; we’re talking multiple ziplines, challenge courses, and activities that’ll get your adrenaline pumping while taking in those incredible Front Range views. It’s the perfect introduction to what Colorado adventure is all about.
From there, we’d head down to Canon City for some serious whitewater rafting with Royal Gorge Rafting. The Arkansas River through the Royal Gorge is legendary – Class III-IV rapids with thousand-foot canyon walls towering above you. It’s the kind of experience that’ll leave you soaked, exhausted, and absolutely exhilarated.
Of course, we’d have to bag a fourteener. There’s nothing like standing above 14,000 feet and looking out over Colorado’s endless peaks.
Then there’s my secret fishing hole – and that’s all you’re getting out of me on location.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Nearly a decade ago, I walked into an interview for a part-time guide position having never even been on a zipline. What I found wasn’t just a job – I found a mentor who would change the trajectory of my entire life.
Ty Seufer didn’t just hire employees; he invested in people’s potential. He saw something in me that I didn’t even see in myself and created an environment where growth wasn’t just encouraged – it was inevitable. From that first day as a nervous part-time guide to eventually becoming an owner, Ty provided a masterclass in leadership and the true meaning of opportunity.
What sets Ty apart isn’t just his ability to build an incredible adventure business – it’s his gift for building people. He taught me that taking calculated risks isn’t reckless; it’s essential. He showed me that managing risk isn’t about avoiding it, but about understanding it, preparing for it, and having the courage to move forward anyway.
Under Ty’s guidance, I learned that the American Dream isn’t just a concept – it’s a path that requires the right mentor to help you see it and the right environment to pursue it. He didn’t just open doors; he taught me how to build my own.
Thank you, Ty, for believing in potential over experience, for teaching through example, and for proving that great leaders don’t just create successful businesses – they create successful people. The EDGE isn’t just your legacy in adventure tourism; it’s your legacy in changing lives.
